Swimsuit Fashions in the Sixties

For a long time, the human body had to be hidden from other people's view. And swimsuits were no exception. Made out of cloth, the swimsuits were heavy and concealed women's bodies, from their neck to their ankles. After World War I, customs changed. The introduction of Lycra and bikinis revolutionized swimsuits. In the sixties, many women opted for bikinis. The bottoms were not as revealing as today and the tops were often moulded, as were undergarments in those days.
