A waterfront area accessible to the public is one of the Verdun Borough's attractions. Along boulevard LaSalle, a number of sports facilities have been set up so that residents can take part in various activities, including tennis, swimming, dancing, pétanque and skateboarding. The boulevard LaSalle is also a road that is often used during such special events as the Tour de l’île de Montréal and, more recently, Le Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie.
