Verdun

Called Côte des Argoulets in the 17th century, the Verdun territory was a place of strategic fortification. Delimited by the old Saint-Pierre River and the Lachine Rapids, this place owes its name to Zacharie Dupuis, owner of the fief of Verdun, named in memory of his native village in France, Saverdun.
