The Natatorium is still as popular as it was when it opened in 1940. Many families come here for a dip or a swim on hot summer days. In the beginning, it wasn't rare to see nearly 1,000 swimmers in the pool at a time. The numerous activities that took place here, the pool, the diving and swimming lessons, all attracted people to come here regularly. Today, the Natatorium's capacity has been reduced, due to current safety regulations; however, this outdoor pool is still very popular among Verdunites.
