Beaded hood

This hood is believed to have belonged to Jane Jacob (born 1861), the third wife of Chief Joseph Gunner (born 1855 or 1857). The couple had four known children, many of whose descendants live in Mistissini and Oujé-Bougoumou. According to a family member, Jane dressed in her finest to welcome her husband home from the hunt and honor the bounty.
