48. A museum since 1948
Today, Maison Le Ber-Le Moyne is one of the buildings that make up Musée de Lachine, founded in 1948. It houses a permanent exhibition of objects that reflect the different periods of the site’s occupancy, from pre-contact to the 20th century. Here are a few examples.
Musée de Lachine conserves, studies, promotes, interprets and showcases an archaeological site and a listed historic monument, Maison Le Ber-Le Moyne, as well as a collection of historical objects and artifacts, in order to show how this heritage documents the history and ways of life of the peoples who shaped this area of present-day Montréal.
Come see them in person at the Musée!
